Learning How to Walk On my Own...

... two, high-heeled feet.

<-- Wearing this.

It was hard.

Pretty? Sure! Very.

But designed for comfort, they were not.

Maybe if you were walking on an even surface, carpeted preferably, you won't have issues. But not on the uneven, rough sidewalks that I have to brave every morning on my way to work. And definitely not on the uneven, tiled floor of the 16th floor.

The wooden frame makes this sandal rigid and won't flex or move with your feet when you walk. A slight bump on your walking surface can send you tumbling down in an embarrassing heap. And the base was a bit slippery too. And it was raining on my way home yesterday :(

Aaarrgghhh!! Why did I buy these? Actually, these were a gift from my tito and tita from LA... but I was the one who picked it. Because they are pretty!! See??? Look again, pretty pretty.

So will I wear these again? Probably. I'm stubbornly masochistic that way :( (Because it's pretty!!!)

But I will have to practice walking wearing them first before I take them out in this cruel, cruel world again.

So Gas Prices Stayed Put

I was amazed.

I was expecting the worst when MG and I got back from our vacation.

Before we left, unleaded gasoline was at P59.80++. Yesterday, when we had our car filled up, we were surprised that it was only around P60.80++.

Around P1 increase in 3 weeks. Not bad at all given the increases that happened almost every week prior to our departure. (Yes, I know gas prices are still at an all-time high but let's be thankful for small things, oki??).

NOTE: My officemate, Sel, told me that gas prices actually see-sawed while we were away. Hehe.

I'm back!

Three weeks of absence and silence.

My body is still trying to catch up with the changing time zones.

But I'm back and I'm home and it feels good to be home.

Bicycles: The New Fashion Accessory?

According to this article at least: Obsession du Jour: Bicycles.

Mg bought one last month, not as a fashion accessory though, for exercise. Just another toy on his long list of toys past and present. And like the camera and the RC's and all his other toys... it's an expense that breeds more expense: accessories, upgrades. Every single week, it seems

Anyway... he's been harping on me to get one as well. Last time I was on a bike was when I was in 5th grade (I think). I wonder if it's true what they say that once you learn, you never forget? I will probably get one soon. I want a pink one.
