This photo was taken a few months ago. The little girls created a fort using some chairs and pillows and while playing, bumped their foreheads together. They stared at each other, surprised, for what seemed like a long time and I knew I had to do something because once one of them started bawling, the other is sure to follow suit. I grabbed a stamp set that was lying on the table and stamped each girl on her forehead and declared that a "No-Ouchie" zone. They looked at each other again and started laughing. Situation averted!

I used Mandy King's new kit, Zest, and a template from Dagi's Temp-tations new template set, Color Me Pretty - Set 5.

Last Valentine's Day, Andrea came home with a rose and a little bear. A little boy from school gave it to her. The concept was entirely new to her and she kept asking me why the flower was wrapped in plastic and what it was for.

Andrea's school is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and they held a school fair 2 weeks ago to celebrate. Andrea and Helaena had fun at the different booths and they both came home with new pets (i.e. fish).

Template Fun

Since Scrappity-Doo-Dah closed, I've been lurking at different forums, trying to find a new digital scrapbooking home where the challenge style fits my interest. One of the designers I CT for has a store at Scraptakeout so I try to join some of the challenges there.

Their style is a bit different. They give you points for all layouts you scrap that use a certain percentage of their products. They also have a couple of challenges but they are hosted on their blog, not on their forum. I tried to participate in their Template Fun challenge this month and made this layout:

The photo was taken from our trip to the Durian Garden at South Cotabato last December. I was about to upload my layout when I checked the rules again and ooops! I was supposed to use 75% Scraptakeout products to qualify for the challenge points. So I made another one:

Here is a layout I made with these templates. This is the first time I made a double page spread because I actually I have no idea how to lay it out. These templates helped a lot!

This layout is composed of 2 12x12 pages. Since we're doing "year in review", I decided to use Andrea's school photos since our year revolved around Andrea's 1st year of school. She still has a few more months left in this school year so I will make another one sometime around summer.

Christmas is only a few days away!! Are you excited?

Sad News again... but on a positive note: SALES!!

Last May I posted about the sad news that Coolscrapsdigital is shutting down its forum and gallery. The store is still up but the community I've grown to love is no more. I've been offline for a few days so I just saw the news today that my other community is shutting down too. Scrappity-Doo-Dah will shut down at the end of the month :(

I've been a CT for this store for a few months, but even before that, I've been active in the forum because I love the challenges there.

On a good note, the entire store is on sale. Designers have different sale offers to make sure to check it out to get fabulous closing down deals.

This is "Andrea Vs. The Nativity". And so far, the score is 2 broken angels... I debated about getting new angels but ended up just gluing them together. Smart choice, as I keep finding those angels posing as Barbie's friends when Andrea is playing.
