Hot Hot HOT Potato!

I participated in a challenge over at Scrapping Fairy Tales last month called Hot Potato. We each provided a photo that we want another scrapper to create a layout for. We then grab the photo posted by the person who posted before us and use it for a layout.

The photo I took was from LLPooh1 and here is the layout I made for her:

Elements from: Splashtastic Summer by Sunny Day Scraps, Summer Day by Sunny Day Scraps Backyard Barbecue by Sunny Day Scraps, Banner by Studio Flergs, Blue Felt Alpha by Mad Genius Designs
And here is the layout created for my krystlbear made for me using my photo:

I love this challenge and it was the first time I made a layout for someone else, thinking about what they would like, the story behind the photo. And it was also fun to see someone else's take on the photo I provided.

Grandma's Sister

Are you getting tired of Andrea's photos yet? I'm trying to dig up photos of other subjects, I swear! And since I have scanned photos from my grandmother's album, I think I'll go on a vintage spree this month.

This is a photo of my grandmother's sister. I initially thought this was my grandmother since it looks like but also looks a little different. My mom confirmed that this is one of my grandmother's sisters.

I made this layout for Scrap From France's mini kit Challenge for September.

Chubby Cheeks

I made a list of challenges I want to participate in for the month of September. It's a looooong list... :-/ And I just made an inventory... I still have 255 unused digital scrapbooking kits. I... I still don't know how I managed to accumulate that many. When I like something, and it's free, it's hard to say no. I'm always thinking that I might need it in the future. But having this many kits in my stash makes it hard to search for a kit to use when I do want to scrap.

I'm thinking I might just focus on my CT work this month. But let's see how far I go on my challenges list.

Anyway...

This is one of my favorite photos of Andre when she was a baby. Makes me wonder where did all that cheek go??? She lost weight when she started on solids and I guess most of that weight was from her cheeks :)

I made this layout for Digidesignresort's Scraplift Challenge for September.
